Not yet anyway. But, in the unlikely event that she gets through the Cats for Dummies classes [having somehow paid for them] without missing a week and getting arrested for contempt, she's dicked anyway.
The cat has been poisoned by a neurotoxin. Neurotoxons are really cool. So far, the cat is already into the respratory failures and poweryarfing; the convulsions are beginning to display. Realistically, this cat will be dead by next summer.
When it dies, Red's in more trouble; the fact that the damage was lethal wasn't an issue in the trial.
If the cat is in Red's possession when it dies, they'll do an autopsy on it to see what the cause was. At that point, it becomes clear that the ingredients in the dye led directly to the cat's death.
So there's the ironic element of justice: Red gets 'her' cat back [she transferred ownership to Charon when it became clear that she'd done something illegal to it] just before it dies from the poison she fed it, and she goes to prison after all.
So...it's not really 'justice' in the sense that all turned out right in the end; it's close to justice in that Red's life is finally over.
