First, to red. While In all probability this statement will be greeted with words such as "you too", implimenting some sort of turn on a person, that's not how I work. Everything is case by case with me, and this is no exception. Now that I've slipped into a disclaimer once again, let me give it some substance. While I would like to say congrats on the wedding, I still find it surprising that, one month after a seven month relationship which survived everything you guys went through, you suddenly decide to get married. So while it is none of my bussiness anymore, I can't manage a congrats. All I can do is wish you a wonderful life with your new family, despite the fact that you decided to spew your exes personal life where your relationship was concerned all over the net. I don't know how Charon feels about this, all I know is I'm glad I am not him. I will not cut paste exactly where this occured; you've proven yourself bright enough to read on your own.
Second, to everyone. I know I have consistantly taken a stoic position on the issue; about the only arguments I have presented are "let it die" like a fucking hippy, over and over again.
That's done.
What happened to the cat was dumb. I still stand by that. However, not learning from your mistakes is also dumb. And the second kind of dumb I have no tolerance for. Brushing off the fact that people are honestly concerned that past mistakes will be repeated is not, NOT best done by "a ha grow up". The presumption is that you did nothing wrong, and that people are beating a dead horse. I have fucked up before. I have a nasty habit of leaving things on when I leave a room. This wouldn't seem so bad, except that occasionally it ends up being things like stoves and saudering irons. While the second one I have never done to date (I view it about the same way as I view a loaded weapon, and am VERY cautious with saudering irons, acids for etching, etc.), I am guilty of leaving the stove on just the other day, which swyndle managed to catch and turn off when getting a soda. What I did not do, however, was tell swyndle that he needed to grow up, that I had done nothing wrong, that it was probably harmless. It didn't do any harm. It could have. I haven't done it since. 'Nuff said.
So, my final thoughts on Chaos the cat, and the current situation? I don't think Red WANTS to learn.
And red, I do appologize, but I'm done beating around, looking out to make sure I don't step on toes.
That's my opinion, and I haven't been crucified to date.
