There's no reason to think you've got to escape the wrath of the board, or anything. It's an open forum board. Sometimes fights break out, which screws things up a bit, but there's nothing in the posted rules stating 'No sneaky claiming that gods exist'. I don't care who does and doesn't believe in unseen beings. I just don't like being expect to believe in them too. I know people of all sorts of religions, and we get on just fine--even debate about the weirder points. The line is crossed when someone tries to get me to buy into their delusions, whatever they are. Gods exist; they're vampyres; they've got a six-foot-tall friend named Harvey who happens to be an invisible bunny; whatever. They can believe that all they like, but I'm going to assume that they're paranoid schizophrenics over it until someone can prove to me that this damned rabbit really exists.

As for pissing people off, it happens. I do it all the time. It's fun, in a way. Don't worry about it. If someone wants to infer a mental state and blame it on the intentions of someone else, fine. It doesn't make them very accurate, just self-justifying.
