Problems with the blind: 2 Mr. U
Posted by Flashtalon on 26 January 2000 at 18:13:18:
Seems Utah's (big bang, Boom boom, Scream Villan, Utahrapo et al): Mr.U, is still blind.
Now we know I have tried to get him to understand, and it has appeared he's TRIED to cut down cursing...
that's all good and well, and he's trying to make a point...
but his often inverted spellings continue to make it hard to read and understand.
Without understanding, it has been said, there can be no peace.
And, it also seems that this....Mr. U doesn't truely wish peace. What he wants is attention
directed towards himself, and I suppose he's got what he wants...
But like I had warned....
I do not like the blind, the stupid ones...
And like wolves that will kill their epileptic or otherwise ill pups (see: Of WOlves and Men, ch 1-2),
I really can't stand such signs of weakness for too long. Especially when the problem can be quickly
and painlessly solved.
As it appears Gremlin has let the thing stay on the board for now, and been merciful (And it is good
to show mercy to the weak and ill-minded) I won't do anything too drastic. Perhaps Gremlin's simply
trying to ignore the Mr. U, but I won't go anymore into what the owner of the board is thinking--
I'd probably be wrong...
Perhaps mereley suggest again that one procures a spellchecker.
Such devices seem to be easily gotten these days, and with very little cost.
I highly suggest to Mr. U to get one of these, because without them his powers of communication are
greatly waning.
I'm sure if this Mr.U would get a spellchecker we would all apreciate it.
Once that's done, and he continues to try to keep the cussing out of his words,
I would then suggest getting sources for his opinions and putting them down on
the post with his opinions....
ex:
_Of Wolves and Men_ by Barry Holstun Lopez
(Good book, btw, if anyone on the board hasn't read it...and likes wolves...
REEEEAAAS IT)
as a sideline, that has nothing to do with this conversation:
The Tyrannosaurus rex ("Tyrant child") sculpture I'm working on is starting to take form..
it's looking good and is a little over 2.5 feet long, extimated.. The sculpture's "Wired out" and I'm
adding more cardboard to it's form. Next, after the cardboarding, will come adding the paper machae,
then painting it and adding the glass eyes.
:)
That is, if some of the freshmen don't decide to graffitti it..
urgh.
