I think I understand what all these painkillers mean when they say ‘worst headache of your life’ now. Almost.
I kinda almost had one of those last night. It was more sickish feeling than painful, but it was certainly painful enough, and the combination made for some serious almost-worstness.
It was a lot like the entire world was made out of wasps. Big, angry wasps that would’ve been happier on some other planet, because they were big and angry. And, somehow, they all fit inside one little spot in my head. And noises were all wrong. There was sound, but I was hearing things with the wrong parts. It kinda reminds me of the Bone Fone concept, except…with pain. And very sensitive. I think there was someone on our wobbly excuse for a block that couldn’t sleep, and was watching TV instead, and I could feel that.
And, of course, everything was made out of wasps, so there was all this buzzing going on. And the headache-wasps ate the parts of my brain that let me remember the concept of ‘walking’, so they could wander off to another part of my brain and build a nest out of it, or something.
So, all that was rather bad.
Kinda reminds me, though. I don’t know if xiph visits my site, but I might as well mention that I sent her an email after I saw her mention me on her Yahoo 360 blog. I have no way of knowing for sure if she got it, though, because sometimes some other email providers have severe issues with the dreamhost mail servers [something about spam and catchalls and stupid people].
Perhaps I should go ahead and make a 360 page myself so I can comment over there and say ‘hi’, or something, since I actually need a 360 account. It’s a little like some blogger.com blogs that way — you have to be a member to comment. No registration necessary here, though.
What other pointlessness can I ramble about….
I’ve spent most of the morning having a look at some of the non-gaming options that the DS Lite may or may not offer, among other things. I’m curious about what will be in the box when I get the Onyx DS Lite, and whether or not I can get spare batteries. I can only find ‘DS Batteries’, and I don’t know if they’re different from the DS Lite batteries.
Also, I’ll probably need a protective covering. I need to get some protective coverings anyway — something for the screens, and something extra to wrap around my incredibly scratchable shiny little iPod Nano, and protect the touchwheel. Also, something for my incredibly shiny and scratchable new LG Chocolate.
I wonder if Sam’s Club sells bulk packs of PDA screen protecting sticky sheet things.
Beyond that, I’ve been looking at the media player options. There are a very few available here in the US [okay, I think there’s one, and it’s made by a company I rather dislike a lot], and the rest are from Japan or wherever. I’ve never imported anything like that before, and I certainly don’t read any of those funny NonAmerican languages, so it would probably be a waste of money even if I did understand how my dollars translate into theirs….
I probably don’t need a media player option, but it would certainly be nifty to have a way of using flash memory card things with my DS, and have it be more than just an incredibly spiffy game system.
I’d also like to see something come of that DS/PDA rumour. It’d be rather lovely to be able to play a bit of Mario or Zelda or whatever on the same thing I could store a shopping list, or something. I like the idea of PDAs.
Also neat would be if Opera for the DS would finally find its way to the US. It’s already out in Japan, and opera’s website says it’s coming to Europe. I’m not entirely sure why this would be neat, but, hey, why not.
I wonder what games I should get….
