It’s an UPDATE! Run and hide! Protect your children! Or…something.

I spent the night setting up the new gallery, and, even though it’s not completely set up yet, I decided it was set up enough. It’s one of those ‘don’t mind our dust, watch out for funny chemical spills, and pin those red arrows to the door with your shoulder’ type things.

It’s at gallery.coffeechick.com, and I like it a bit more than coppermine, now that I’ve got it mostly figured out.

You’ll notice that The Narcissistic Stuff over there has changed a teensy bit. That’s the work of some new code, and the new integration plugin that I’m using to make Gallery2 and WordPress work together a bit more nicely.

I’ll be switching over the other posts with images from the old gallery to images from the new gallery as soon as I figure out why it’s not letting me put full sized images into posts. Stupid random bugs.

Also, I’m in the process of moving the Idiot Archive out of the /main folder and into the root. I don’t know why; I just am.

I might move a few other folders out of /main and somewhere else, just so I can keep the main folder all nice and clean and wordpress-only.

Yay me. I did something.

Update on the update: Well, I’ve gone through and swapped some of the images from the old gallery to the new one, but I kinda-sorta forgot about one important little detail — my abuse of the ‘number of random thumbnails from gallery x’ option of the old plugin I was using to get coppermine to work in a certain way. There’s really no equivalent that I’ve found for Coppermine, although there probably could be. I just happen to be very tired, very cranky, and very incapable of focusing with the shit that’s happening on TV right now.

The shit on TV? Destroy All Humans 2. So, very distracting.

So…this’ll all be a process. Maybe the next new version of the beta of WPG2[3? Something?] I’m now using will have some sort of random thumbnail block for the posts, or something.
