I’ve been getting more hits than expected [read: more than zero] from somewhere on this forum.
A rennisance festival forum? That’s so very odd.
I haven’t really done much to find out exactly where yet — just one of those google links-to-me searches. All I found was a bunch of stuff I already knew about, and this one guy’s incredibly dull blog with a post complaining about how my photoblogging of the blizzards last year was boring, and that I needed more sex. I suppose I’ll have to defer to his incredible interestingness, because tits and those youtube videos everyone else thought was funny are way more interesting than recordbreaking quantities of snow and photography experiments.
I wonder why I’ve never seen that site on my referral reports.
Oh well, back to the current mystery. Time to be an internet detective.
Hi there! I stumbled upon your blog through http://www.technorati.com , and the fact that you mentioned that you are getting hits from our forums.
I take it by your comment of “A rennisance festival forum? That’s so very odd.” that you’re not very familiar with renaissance festivals? Just like any other common public gathering (sci-fi cons, sporting events, etc.) renaissance festivals have forums too. It’s a place to socialize and discuss events and such with like-minded people. We’re just the “be all and end all” of that spectrum, as we encompass every known festival.
Regardless, I find it odd that you’re getting hits from our forum. Possibly someone/many people you know are associated with our site and were praising the wonders of it?
You take it incorrectly. Of course I’m not surprised that the internet, in all its vast weirdishness, has a renfest forum. I’d be shocked if there weren’t any. It’s not like online communities are these expensive, difficult-to-have things. I expect people with similar interests to form these things online. I don’t expect to get hits from them. I really don’t expect to get more than one hit from them.
…I especially don’t expect to get hits from them when they’re not links that include the words free-xanax-viagra-toyota.blogspot.com.
I don’t think I know anyone who would sing praises about me anywhere. I don’t think I know a lot of praise-singers, and I’m not exactly a person about whom praise-things are sung.
