The short, incomplete version of why I don’t trust Sears OR UPS now.

So, I was supposed to get my replacement sound system yesterday, right? And by ‘yesterday’, I actually mean ‘on the 15th’. Or possibly even ‘on the 14th,’ but maybe not.

The point is, I was supposed to have it. And I didn’t. And I still don’t.

Because, when I got the box today, there wasn’t a Home Theatre System in it. There was a Bissel. And a secondary address/tracking label that was pasted over what I can only assume was the original recipient.

Of course, I tried to get this fixed as instantly as possible, because fucked up shipping like that? Really, really upsets me. In an ‘I’m about to be punished for fucking up the inventory by having part of my pay taken away, AND all my books just like they threatened me once.’ It’s a sort of lesser version of the ‘can’t actually sleep straight through certain times of day’ and the random ‘waking up at other times in a panic, thinking I’m really, really late for work and if I don’t get there, [see above].’

The first time I called the customer service line, I gave them my order number, and they hung up on me. The second time…nothing made any sense. But I kinda got the idea that I was supposed to leave the box outside, because UPS could be by any time between now and Wednesday. The third time, I was transferred to Sears Home Delivery, who don’t actually have anything to do with anything. Then, I was transferred back and — you guessed it — hung up on.

The fourth time, I handed the phone off to Gremlin, and he didn’t get hung up on. He actually got called back.

Things were further taken care of while I was asleep — I hit the deep and horrible exhaustion portion of the panic-sick-headache-dead process around four — and I don’t really know all of that yet. I’m kindasorta waiting on Gremlin to get back so he can explain to me exactly why ‘Wednesday’ is still a factor, and why Sears is so obsessed with having at least one hundred different stories about how you can take things into the store, or pick them up there [because the website says one thing, but the stores? They say something entirely else. And it’s stupid, because you’re supposed to be able to get those ‘in store’ things in five minutes.]

Also, I don’t know if I got the 10% off, and all the money back, or anything.

Go on, say something....
