1. I still don't think that Red was intentionally poisoning the cat, and was being ditzy and absent-minded at the time; however, with real warnings including the word fatal on the box, I don't think the "she thought the product was safe" argument can fly. The one I'm sticking with is "I just never really thought to check; I don't usually read warning labels". Though I realize this shows a lack of concern for her cat. 2: If she has been told previously to not dye the cat's feet I don't know if the learning experience point will fly. Fine. Chaos has been taken out of Reds custody, and there is no chance of the cat being dyed again. 3: That still leaves the fact that, as was pointed out, the 15 minutes are up. The problem has, as far as I can tell, been solved. Red is at a friends house until things blow over, and chaos has an owner who has shown that he cares about the cat (that was not a slam on Red; Red probably cares about the cat as well, but has not demonstrated competence with caring for animals, while swyndle has). Meanwhile, the Real World/Road Rules style conversations are continuing, and in the midst of this Bang-Bang tries to make a comeback... although bang-bang not getting noticed isn't neccesarily a bad thing, something I realized while trying to talk to him in a chat room. So all in all, yeah this shit is pretty fucked up. And I'm pretty slow to say that a lot of the time. But maybe there's something out there worth more attention right now than a problem that's already been solved. Like where did my emergency ciggarettes go? Ahh here they are. wow, I get preachy without cancer sticks. Sorry bout that folks. The radar cat goes with skip, and everyone moves on. Why didn't I just say that?
Well, I went through and read through a few things and would like to clarify, if not change, my stance on things:
