Since chaos is slipping rapidly, I felt like preparing a bit of information for all those who have been following since march. Since the cat's owner obviously doesn't give enough of a damn to reply to anything, hire a decent attourney, think out a defense, attend to the cat's well being before going on a bike ride, call to check up on the cat more than one time ever, well, the list goes on and on, but I want this to be the big 300, so I'll stop short. Chaos is a small cat that resembles the loony toons character, sylvester, both in appearance and manner. Her habits include attempting to consume sapiens at every given oppurtunity, running into walls at speeds rivaling a formula 1, and purring, and several acts of cuteness. She is a wonderful animal who, up to this point, has been full of energy. Whatever happens to chaos now, she has made her mark on my psyche. I can't help but feel for the little rascal, and the list of things I can say that about is a very short one, three entries to be precise, and the cat is the only one I currently come in contact with. I'm going to leave now, though. I just heard the strangest noise come out of my bedroom, and the window covering is down, as light is pouring out from it...
Well, I missed my mark, so I'll just continue on. Chaos deserves it anyway.
When I first saw chaos, she had one purple and one orange paw. That was the first thing I noticed; the second thing I noticed was the cat tearing out of the apartment door (this was a long time ago, and red was not living in the residence I am currently in yet), past red, like the hounds of catholic hell were after her. Oddly enough, when transported to this house, the habit stopped; she seems quite content with life indoors, and has never once tried to escape to the great outdoors (the farthest she has gotten, of her own free will, was looking at a set of stairs, when I was coming down with food, and following me in to beg for my meal, even though we both knew she had a lot of cat/homeless food in her dish). This, in retrospect, lends a "I should have seen it coming" feel to the whole thing, but let me get back to the cat.
Her hobbies largely involve my stuff. She has plenty of cat toys, but the paper, circuit, squirt gun, pack of ciggarettes, plate I brought downstairs, comic book, clean laundry, etc. I own are somehow more entertaining. She also, untill I notice, has an annoying habit of trying to sit downwind of my ciggarettes; this causes me, then her, to move around the room untill she gives up and finds something more interesting, usually involving my snowboard's bindings.
Now for changes, before and after the horrific event I can't ever forgive when I stare at the blank expression chaos is beggining to get off and on. Chaos used to enjoy rolling over on her back, and letting people pet her stomach. She still does this, but rarely, and for very short periods of time. She now rolls back over, and is content with normal pettings, when she remembers that the area applied with the hair dye is still sore. Although the hair on her paws has been shaved by the vet, and the color is almost back completely, there are still remnants of the dye on the skin. The thing that is bothering me recently is the blank, cattle-like expression that has been showing up recently, followed by chaos staring around wildly trying to figure things out. She is still calm during these periods, and cool with being picked up, and if held for a bit the expression dies down, after wich she returns to normal thought patterns. However, during these episodes, it seems as though she has forgotten everything she once knew, including how to walk; the stumbling is almost too tragic to bear. Luckily, these episodes are short lived, and she returns to the animal we knew before.
